SIMPLE & SWEET DESSERT

This morning the kids and I got into the Easter and Spring spirit! We kept seeing those Rice Krispies commercials with the Mother and daughter making Easter eggs with a surprise in the middle.

As cute as those treats are I didn’t want my little ones rolling sticky Rice Krispies treats in their hands and stuffing them with candy that would more likely end up in their mouths then their eggs.

Somewhere in my travels I had come across this idea for Rice Krispies bird’s nests. My little ones’ favorite Easter candy of all time are Cadbury mini eggs. This craft turned dessert was just no brainer for me! We had a blast making them together. Here is the fun and easy recipe. Happy Easter, Passover, Spring….Enjoy!

BIRD NEST RICE KRISPIES TREATS

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons of butter

1 package (10 oz) Jet-Puffed Marshmallow

6 cups Kellogg’s Rice Krispies

 

Directions:

In a large saucepan melt butter over low heart. Add marshmallows and stir continuously.

Add Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well coated.

Using wax paper or a buttered spoon evenly press mixture into coated muffin tray (coat using a cooking spray).

Allow to cool. Remove from muffin tray and shape in hand. Add Cadbury mini eggs.

Best if served the same day!
