For those of you who know me, you know that I am obsessed with all things monogrammed! Anything from coasters to totes, purses, pillows, and bathrobes in my home have my initials on them. I’m thrilled to announce that I have partnered with Marleylilly and I’m excited to show you some of the amazing monogrammed items they have! If it’s not moving Marleylilly will monogram it! And my favorite part is that you can preview your monogram on all items! This is the preview I received ahead of time from my Monogrammed Wicker Clutch. I love how it shows you the font so you know what to expect. Here are…

Day Trip–New England Charm. Napa Style.

A day trip in Rhode Island can lead to all kinds of adventures since the ocean and farm lands run alongside this beautiful area. This tiny state I call “home” is close to many amazing destinations that are reachable in less than two hours. Yesterday’s travels gave the phrase “Sunday drive” new meaning to me. First thing in the morning we jumped in the car and headed south with no set travel plans. It felt cool to be a beach day and we decided that heading into the country would be fun. I have a love for barns (antiques and new construction). I also am quite fond of farmscape gardens!…

    VBX collection for Target

Spring/summer 2017’s fashion trends have me swooning and I am officially obsessed with the Victoria Beckham line for Target. My little lady and I recently wore this Women’s Black Collared Dress by Victoria Beckham for Target. We received so many compliments and questions as to where I purchased the dresses that I had to share! The Victoria Beckham collection for Target celebrates the shared experiences between Victoria and her daughter and I can understand why. My daughter loved that our dresses matched! I loved that our dresses were timeless and especially comfortable. Gingham prints, scallop hem lines, peplum blouses, pops of floral, and collared dresses are among some of my…

In honor of this month of LOVE I’m sharing some of my favorite quotes… Love is a noun and a verb. It’s sustained by action and what we do for one another every day. I love my children who are my WORLD. I love my friends who are my TRIBE. I love my family who are my STABILITY. I truly believe in my heart of hearts that LOVE is DEVOTION. When you eat, sleep, and breath it then you know there is nothing like it in this world. Don’t ever “shush” your inner voice because it knows who you truly are and what you deserve. xo

    Letters from Santa

“Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps, means a little bit more.” We received the most beautiful and magical letters from Santa in the mail yesterday. They are handwritten with love and every last detail reflects how well Santa knows my children. These letters bring the magic of Christmas into your home. They feel warm and real. I simply can’t wait to see the look on my children’s faces when they see and open them. This time of year we can get lost in the holiday rush and when I held these letters time paused for a moment and reminded me of what it feels like to…

’tis the season to give 2016

If you are looking for the perfect gift– something thoughtful, simple, sweet, and under $100 then take a peek at my favorite must-have gift in 2016. Remember, the ones you love are far more precious then any gift. It’s not WHAT we have in life, but WHO we have in our life. Spend this holiday season spreading love and telling those people you care about how much they matter in your life. Wishing you a healthy and happy holiday season from my family to yours.  xo Alyson     This isn’t the first time…

    Happy Birthday my sweet daughter…

There is this little girl who puts the color inside of my world. Any time I feel like I don’t have strength I think of her. I remember she is watching me. She is relying on me to guide her, to show her she is safe and loved. Any of life’s problems since becoming a mother have one simple solution to me, a hug from my daughter. Her smile makes me smile and her laugh is infectious. She is fierce and has the best heart. She reminds me why being a mother is a gift. This little girl is the love in my life. She is the sun to my shine.…

A new year and motherhood butterflies

Every year when the children go Back-to-School I get a mix of emotions. I feel butterflies in my stomach. It feels like a fresh start to a new year. I have always based the “new year” on the school calendar since I was a little girl. It just feels so structured and the fall brings in cool weather and change. The past week I’ve found myself debating my role as a parent. My children are in Second grade and Kindergarten. How did that happen? Motherhood seems overwhelming at times. I question: Am I making the best choices for my children? Am I giving them enough of my time? Are they…

    Decisions Decisions

“Why is it that any one decision always seems too small to be the biggest decision of your life?” We make choices every day. Some make more than others. As parents we get bombarded with questions, endless questions. At times I feel like I’m playing a game of trivia and failing miserably. I don’t know everything despite what my children may think, but what I do know is that thousands of tiny decisions have brought me to where I am today. I’ve been a single parent for 4 years now. That used to sound scary, but now it sounds comfortable. I know what to expect, I set my schedule, I…
